It all started as simple bump on my Mini Schnauzer and later realized they are ticks . I then started researching and wondering how she is infested as she is kept indoors. Anyway here's sharing some tips and tricks of what I found out and doing to keep her clean. It looks like 3 possible parasites infestation on dogs being ticks, fleas and mites. Cleaning the dog itself is not hard but the total eradication of the parasites may take months as need follow through as we have to get rid of them throughout their whole life cycle. The dog may get reinfested as new ticks are hatched. Several tools came to mind with the simplest are shampoos which are Class IV poison . Be very careful as I remember years ago my puppy died after a washing most probably poison ingested. Thus being a puppy I was hesitant and extra careful of my options. I've been googling for tips and tricks of training a puppy but disappointed as most are just links to sell their videos or ebooks without much useful information. After adopting Mini I've learnt some from experience but really need good advices from everyone with experience to share some good learnings and resources to help each other. I've bought 2 books Dogs and also Mini Schnauzer which hopefully have snippets of wisdom I will share from time to time. Appreciate everyone's comments or links of good articles of dog training. I've successfully got her to sit on cue (with food) and stay sometimes but all hell breaks loose when my kitten Elsa come visiting. The other immediate concern is house training!
